This paper aims to present the fundamental problems arising from the adoption of “the farm to fork” strategy. This strategy poses a challenge both to Polish legislators and, especially, to Polish farmers. The objectives presented in the Communication from the European Commission – A Farm to Fork Strategy for a fair, healthy and environmentally-friendly food system – are revolutionary and quite ambitious, given the time allocated for their achievement. Undeniably, changes in food law are necessary, but it is difficult to say whether those advocated by the European Commission are feasible.
