The aim of the study is to present theoretical aspects of the labor market policy, with particular emphasis on its goals, Instruments and the place it occupies in the national economic policy. Moreover, the theoretical study is supplementedwith an analysis and evaluation of the labor market policy realized in Poland after the year 2000, regarding its diversity and efficiency in fighting unemployment along with its social and economic conseąuences.
