The article presented the problem of air pollution within Zduńska Wola City between 2012 and 2014. It focused on identifying factors influencing the air pollution and the location of problem areas. The aim of the article was also an indication of the useful methods of spatial analysis developed using GIS tools in the study of environmental pollution. Particular attention was paid to the impact of CO2 emissions from the housing, utilities and transport on the air condition in this city.

W artykule poruszono problem zanieczyszczenia powietrza w Zduńskiej Woli w latach 2012–2014. Skupiono się na identyfikacji czynników wpływających na zanieczyszczenie powietrza w mieście oraz lokalizacji tzw. obszarów problemowych. Celem było również wskazanie przydatności metod analiz przestrzennych opracowanych za pomocą narzędzi GIS w badaniach nad zanieczyszczeniem środowiska. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na wpływ emisji dwutlenku węgla pochodzącego z budownictwa mieszkaniowego i komunalnego oraz z transportu na stan powietrza w mieście.
