Aim: specification of the professionalisation of teachers and educators with the biography and papers of the addressee of the essay dedication. Methods: analyzes and interpretations of the obtained materials. Results: A concise review of the idea of modernization to professionalize teachers is briefly illuminated by the three (known already in the 20th a nd 21st centuries) directions: 1. Orientation towards perfect personality traits when preparing for a teaching profession, 2. Styles of practicing a teaching profession, 3. Social and pedagogical determinants of professional readiness of becoming a teacher. The article draws changes in the concept of teacher-educator education. Conclusions: By exemplifying the subject, it exposes the paths of self-education, further training and professional development. The issue requires updating the reflections of new ways of achieving assumptions both during education in the profession and in the course of work, in order to adapt to dynamically changing social and pedagogical circumstances. The modernisation of sine qua non is subject to comprehensively integrated support for the system of these processes. With a prospective synergistic strengthening of the vision of necessary changes, in firstly – the legal pragmatism and then, in the implementation in the education system.
