Międzynarodowa konferencja BOBCATSSS 2025, która odbyła się w Stambule w Turcji (21-23 stycznia 2025 r.), dotyczyła skrzyżowania sztucznej inteligencji (AI) oraz bibliotekoznawstwa i informacji naukowej (LIS). Wydarzenie, zorganizowane przez studentów LIS z Uniwersytetu w Stambule, Uniwersytetu w Ankarze i Uniwersytetu Gustave'a Eiffla, przyciągnęło 200–300 uczestników z Europy, Azji i nie tylko. Wykłady, panele, warsztaty i studia przypadków omawiały zastosowania sztucznej inteligencji w bibliotekach, wyzwania etyczne i prawne, umiejętność korzystania z informacji, zarządzanie wiedzą i otwartą naukę. Szczególny nacisk położono na usługi włączające, wykluczenie cyfrowe i przejrzystość algorytmiczną. Węgierski wkład zwracał uwagę na krajowe innowacje w zakresie usług bibliotecznych opartych na sztucznej inteligencji. Dzięki recenzowanym prezentacjom i różnorodnym metodom badawczym projekt BOBCATSSS 2025 wzbogacił dyskusję akademicką, jednocześnie promując tworzenie sieci kontaktów między studentami, profesjonalistami i badaczami. Konferencja podkreśliła potrzebę zajęcia się etycznymi, technologicznymi i społecznymi implikacjami integracji sztucznej inteligencji.

Die internationale Konferenz BOBCATSSS 2025, die vom 21. bis 23. Januar 2025 in Istanbul (Türkei) stattfand, untersuchte die Verbindungen zwischen Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) und Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaft (LIS). Die Veranstaltung, organisiert von LIS-Studierenden der Universität Istanbul, der Universität Ankara und der Gustave-Eiffel-Universität, zog 200–300 Teilnehmende aus Europa, Asien und anderen Ländern an. In Vorträgen, Podiumsdiskussionen, Workshops und Fallstudien wurden der Einsatz von KI in Bibliotheken, ethische und rechtliche Herausforderungen, Informationskompetenzen, Wissensmanagement und Open Science behandelt. Besonderer Schwerpunkt lag auf inklusiven Dienstleistungen, digitaler Exklusion und der Transparenz von Algorithmen. Der Beitrag Ungarns hob nationale Innovationen im Bereich KI-gestützter Bibliotheksdienste hervor. Durch begutachtete Präsentationen und vielfältige Forschungsmethoden bereicherte die Tagung BOBCATSSS 2025 die akademische Diskussion und förderte zugleich das Networking unter Studierenden, Fachleuten und Forschenden. Die Konferenz unterstrich die Notwendigkeit, dass sich die Fachgemeinschaft mit den ethischen, technologischen und gesellschaftlichen Folgen der Integration Künstlicher Intelligenz auseinandersetzen sollte.

The BOBCATSSS 2025 international conference, held in Istanbul, Turkey (January 21–23, 2025), examined the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and library and information science (LIS). Organized by LIS students from Istanbul University, Ankara University, and Gustave Eiffel University, the event drew 200–300 participants from Europe, Asia, and beyond. Keynotes, panels, workshops and case studies discussed AI applications in libraries, ethical and legal challenges, information literacy, knowledge management and open science. Special emphasis was placed on inclusive services, digital exclusion, and algorithmic transparency. Hungarian contributions highlighted national innovations in AI-driven library services. With peer-reviewed presentations and diverse research methods, BOBCATSSS 2025 enhanced academic discussion while promoting networking among students, professionals, and researchers. The conference emphasized the profession’s need to address the ethical, technological and social implications of AI integration.
