The article presents the principles of administrative and legal succession of authorisation (administrative permits) for waste collection and for waste treatment (waste processing). This has been done with the background of the Act on succession management of a natural person’s enterprise and other facilities related to the succession of enterprises in Poland. The article includes thesis that the authorisation is a legal act of a personal and material character and additional presents the thesis that the succession of this legal act may occur only exceptionally, if Succession Manager will achieve personal qualifications such as to be no convictions for environmental crimes, this is justified by the necessity to certify the value of environmental protection against improper handling of waste at the expense of the value of business continuity.
