The article deals with the activities of a native of the town of Liptovsky Sv. Mikulas Vladimir Krivos (1865-1942) in Petersburg at the end of 19th century. In Krivos's biography scholars have particularly noticed his relationships with Svetozar Hurban Vajansky and his cooperation with 'Narodne noviny' (National newspaper). His contacts with Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy and Slovak as well as Russian Tolstoy followers have been partially monitored. Scientific circles so far have not had any knowledge of Krivos' extensive activities in Petersburg Slavonic benevolent society and beyond it (in the compatriotic circle of Czechs in Petersburg). According to some materials of Czech provenience Krivos had very good relationships with Petersburg Czechs and became an influential person in the Slavonic society.
