Im Artikel wird das Problem der rechtlichen Erfassung der Konstitution der Kirche ergriffen. Es geht dabei vor allem darum, dass in solcher Erfassung die Existenz der Kirche ad extra ausgedrückt wird. Die wesentlichen S tru k tu ren der Kirche sind doch mit dem Problem Kirche - Welt verbunden, was vor allem in der Verwirklichung der Nächstenliebe als konstitutives Element der Kirche zum Ausdruck kommt. Von grösser Bedeutung fü r die Kodifikation der Kirchenkonstitution sind die Erfahrungen der christlichen Gemeinschaften.
