This text introduces the Foreign Mission Association in Paris and the inextricably linked Foreign Mission Seminar and its commitment to missions in Asia. First, the term “seminar” is systematic and its general understanding is presented in order to be able to point out the specifics of the subject under discussion. Next, the circumstances of the founding of the Foreign Mission Association (MEP) were shown, which were put in a historical and missiological context, also pointing out the contribution that the association has made to the development of missions in Asia over the course of more than 350 years. Every work has its founder, so there was no shortage of presentations of key figures who played a significant role in the discussed problem of missions in Asia. From the beginning, the activities of the Foreign Mission Seminary were distinguished by a specific approach in formation, the presentation of which was key to understanding the importance of mission development in the Far East. Finally, the topic of contemporary activities of the association was addressed. This shows that the work initiated has a concrete continuation.

Niniejszy tekst przedstawia Stowarzyszenie Misji Zagranicznych w Paryżu i nierozerwalnie związanego z nim Seminarium Misji Zagranicznych oraz jego zaangażowanie na rzecz misji w Azji. Najpierw usystematyzowano pojęcie „seminarium” i przedstawiono ogólne jego rozumienie, aby móc wskazać na specyfikę omawianego tematu. Następnie ukazano okoliczności powstania Stowarzyszenia Misji Zagranicznych (MEP), które ujęto w kontekście historyczno-misjologicznym, wskazując też wkład, jaki na przestrzeni ponad 350 lat stowarzyszenie miało dla rozwoju misji w Azji. Każde dzieło ma swojego założyciela, dlatego nie mogło zabraknąć zaprezentowania kluczowych postaci, które odegrały znaczącą rolę w omawianym problemie misji w Azji. Działalność Seminarium Misji Zagranicznych od początku wyróżniała się specyficznym podejściem w formacji, którego przedstawienie było istotne dla zrozumienia znaczenia rozwoju misji na Dalekim Wschodzie. W końcu podjęto temat współczesnej działalności stowarzyszenia. To pokazuje, że zapoczątkowane dzieło ma swoją konkretną kontynuację.

The broadly understood issue of family has always been considered a very important matter in the Church, which should be considered at all times. Therefore, when addressing issues related to family, the author begins by presenting a basic definition, which, depending on different social, cultural or ideological conditions, may be understood differently. Then, based on two apostolic exhortations of John Paul II, Ecclesia in Asia and Ecclesia in Oceania, the issue of what family is, what tasks, challenges and difficulties it faces, and also what may threaten the existence and development of the family in these regions of the world in the enclosing and understanding of the Magisterium of the Church, is raised. In addition, the problem of the possibility of pastoral action on behalf of the family in some regions of Asia and Oceania is raised. In this context, an important aspect is shown, which is respect for a given culture, language, customs, etc. The need to strive for solutions to a wide range of problems directly affecting marital and family life is emphasized.

Szeroko pojmowana problematyka rodziny zawsze była w Kościele uważana za sprawę bardzo ważną, nad którą w każdym czasie należy się pochylać. Dlatego autor, poruszając zagadnienia dotyczące rodziny, zaczyna od ujęcia podstawowej definicji, która w zależności od różnych warunków społecznych, kulturowych czy ideologicznych może być różnie pojmowana. Następnie na podstawie dwóch adhortacji apostolskich Jana Pawła II Ecclesia in Asia i Ecclesia in Oceania podejmuje zagadnienie, czym jest rodzina, jakie stoją przed nią zadania, wyzwania i trudności, a także, co może w tych regionach świata zagrażać istnieniu i rozwojowi rodziny w ujęciu i rozumieniu Magisterium Kościoła. Ponadto w artykule poruszony zostaje problem możliwości działania duszpasterskiego na rzecz rodziny w niektórych regionach Azji i Oceanii. W tym kontekście przedstawiona zostaje ważna kwestia, jaką jest uszanowanie danej kultury, języka, obyczajów itd. Podkreślona zostaje potrzeba zabiegania o rozwiązanie wielu problemów dotykających bezpośrednio życia małżeńskiego i rodzinnego.
