This article presents selected problems of organization of land transport of dangerous materials based on the analysis of the organizational procedure of land transport of dangerous materials in Poland, understood as the implementation of logistics and technical activities performed by participants of transport at particular stages of their transport. The analysis of the considered research problem was preceded by an approximation of the essence of transport of dangerous materials, classification of dangerous substances, types of transport documents and methods of cargo transport. The most important normative acts (international and national) that make up the legal basis of land transport of dangerous materials have been taken into account. The role of public administration bodies, rescue entities and public order in the field of transport safety of these materials is shown.

W niniejszym artykule przestawiono wybrane problemy organizacji transportu lądowego materiałów niebezpiecznych w oparciu o analizę funkcjonowania procedury organizacyjnej lądowych przewozów materiałów niebezpiecznych w Polsce, rozumianej jako realizację działań logistyczno-technicznych, które wykonują uczestnicy przewozu na poszczególnych etapach ich transportu. Analizę rozważanego problemu badawczego poprzedzono przybliżeniem istoty przewozów materiałów niebezpiecznych, klasyfikacji substancji niebezpiecznych, rodzajów dokumentów przewozowych i metod transportu ładunków. Uwzględniono najważniejsze akty normatywne (międzynarodowe i krajowe) składające się na podłoże prawne dziedziny lądowych przewozów materiałów niebezpiecznych. Pokazano rolę organów administracji publicznej, podmiotów ratowniczych, porządku publicznego w zakresie bezpieczeństwa transportu tych materiałów.
