W artykule przedstawiono istotę zrównoważonego rozwoju oraz osiem współczesnych zagrożeń zrównoważonego rozwoju edukacji w odniesieniu do dyrektorów polskich szkół. We wnioskach natomiast wskazano na niebywałą rolę dyrektorów polskich szkół w rozwoju świadomości obecnych oraz przyszłych pokoleń na temat zrównoważonego rozwoju w bardzo zmiennym zglobalizowanym świecie. Artykuł skłania do refleksji nad „naszą wspólną przyszłością”.

The article presents an essence of Sustainable Development along with eight typical threats to its application in Education and with reference to head teachers in Polish schools. In the conclusions it has been pointed out how crucial their role is in creating awareness among current and future generations – about Sustainable Development in very unstable, globalized world. The article encourages to reflect on “Our Common Future”.
