W artykule autor wskazał na aksjologiczne i pedagogiczne aspekty narkomanii. Przedstawił etyczne kryteria uzależnienia od narkotyków, odnosząc się do najbardziej destrukcyjnych wymiarów tego zjawiska, ukazując ich specyfikę oraz negatywne następstwa w podstawowych sferach życia człowieka. Ponadto autor wskazał na problem autonomii i wolności osoby uzależnionej od narkotyków. Poruszył kwestię zdolności narkomana do podejmowania decyzji na podstawie świadomości motywów i skutków własnego działania. Podjął także próbę etycznej oceny narkomanii oraz przedstawił propozycje pedagogiczne ukierunkowane na uniknięcie zagrożeń związanych z zażywaniem narkotyków. W artykule wskazano ponadto na znaczenie pedagogiki personalistycznej w kształtowaniu postawy wobec narkotyków oraz innych środków odurzających i substancji psychoaktywnych.

In this article the author explores axiological and pedagogical aspects of drug addiction. The ethical criteria for drug dependence, with reference to the most destructive dimensions of this phenomenon, are presented, their specificity and negative consequences in the basic spheres of human life are being exposed. The issues of autonomy and liberty of a person addicted to drugs are also examined. The ability to make decisions by a drug addicts is questioned, especially in terms of motivation awareness and consequences of their actions. Ethical evaluation is attempted and pedagogical proposals, aimed at avoiding the risk associated with drug use, are being put forward here. The article further indicates the importance of personalistic pedagogy in shaping attitudes towards drugs and other intoxicants and psychoactive substances.
