Stołczyn leży na terenie bogatym w złoża gliny, które w XIX i XX wieku stały się podstawą rozwoju lokalnych cegielni, związanych z postępem industrializacji. W 2. połowie XIX wieku działało ich już kilkanaście.

Stołczyn is located in an area rich in clay deposits, which in the 19th and 20th centuries became the basis for the development of local brickyards related to the progress of industrialisation. In the second half of the 19th century, about a dozen brickyards have been functioning.
