Sustainable development in architecture is an approach that aims to create buildings and spaces that are environmentally friendly, economically effective and conducive to people's well-being. This article presents three projects by the Danish studio BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) – CopenHill in Copenhagen, a multi-family housing development in Aarhus and the Danish Maritime Museum in Helsingør. All buildings, although they represent different functions, share an innovative and sustainable approach to architectural and urban solutions that aim to minimize the impact of buildings on the environment and society, while ensuring their functionality and aesthetics.

Rozwój zrównoważony w architekturze to podejście, które ma na celu tworzenie budynków i przestrzeni przyjaznych dla środowiska, efektywnych ekonomicznie oraz sprzyjających dobremu samopoczuciu ludzi. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono trzy realizacje autorstwa duńskiej pracowni BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) – CopenHill w Kopenhadze, zabudowę mieszkaniową wielorodzinną w Aarhus oraz Duńskie Muzeum Morskie w Helsingør. Wszystkie obiekty, pomimo iż reprezentują różne funkcje, łączy innowacyjne i zrównoważone podejście do rozwiązań architektonicznych i urbanistycznych, które mają na celu minimalizowanie wpływu budynków na środowisko i społeczeństwo, jednocześnie dbając o ich funkcjonalność i estetykę.
