The article is dedicated to describing the various liaisons between the historical genology and the stylistics. It is an attempt of theoretical reflection on the subject included in the title of the paper. The authour proves that the both domens are strictly related. One can notice that the most useful stylistics method in genological research are functional stylistics and stylistics of discourse. The functional stylistics is very helpful in analysis of both: the speech genres which are stable in the history of communication and the secondary speech genres distinctly connected with their primary pre-genres. As for discourse stylistics, it can be useful above all in describing the evolution and specifics of contemporary and the newest speech genre phenomena, e.g. the Internet genres.

The article shows how Kazimiera llłakowiczówna creates unreal worlds in her work. One can observe the creation process on several levels: title, description of characters and the whole text understood as a complete, specific picture of the unreal world.Poetical conceptualization of unreal worlds is based on many complex semantic and cultural associations of the words, ideas and symbols. It is connected with various types of composition and stylistic forms. The poet is very sensible with the language and its po- tential, uses it with consideration and great subtleness.

The article is devoted to describing the problem of cultural contexts of genre transformations, taking the example of chosen literary forms: short story and romance. A few aspects of text model have been analyzed: structural, stylistic and functional. There are three basic cultural contexts of genre changes: 1. archaecultural, 2. macrocultural, 3. microcultural. Each of them is connected with various factors and aspects of the genres. The analysis allows treating the two chosen genres as “drifting” ones, because they are very “fluent”, they migrate from a discourse to a discourse during their historyfrom the Old-Polish period to contemporary times.

The article is dedicated to the reflection over the style of three poems of Kasper Twardowski, the early baroąue writer. The poems are: Lekcyje Kupidynowe (1617), Łódź młodzi z nawałności do brzegu płynąca (1618) and Pochodnia Miłości Bożej z piącią strzał ognistych (1628). Foundations of pragmatic stylistics, which takes into considera- tion the subjective aspect of work, have been taken on. Poems lexis, figures of rhetoric and stylistic features have been observed. The style evolution of analyzed texts is based on gradual convertion of text form, focu- sed on the following notions: SENSUAL LOVE -> SIN//PENANCE -> GOD’S LOVE. These no- tions have their equivalents on the style level, i.e.: IDYLL // COURTLINESS -» EXPLICIT- NESS // IMAGERY -> EXPLICITNESS H RESTRAINT.The analysis of work’s style level was aimed to point a parallel between stylistics sphe- re of literary text and its ideological surface motivated subjectively, which is a reflex of author’s - who is the text subject - view posturę. Madę observations are the next proof of extraordinary cultural and linqual luxuriance of baroque period, which are in favour of omnipresent varietas idea and its not trivial influence on stylistic shape of a text.
