The article demonstrates different methods of teaching Polish as a foreign language. They are both conventional and unconventional methods. Some of them are very well-known to most teachers, others are little known, and even regarded as controversial. It is not easy to choose the right method and it requires the teacher to take into account the age and linguistic needs of students. These factors are very important because only a well-chosen method guarantees a learning success.
