In recent decades, the world observes the rapid economic and military development of the People’s Republic of China with a bit of unsettlement. China, the country with the highest percentage of human population, still ruled by the communist party famous for its lack of respect for human rights and dignity constitutes a serious problem for international security experts. Rapid economic growth is related to the increase of military power. This is a reason why all pieces of information connected to the security of China are very carefully analyzed and evaluated. The example of such documents are “white papers” on the development ideas for the country in that scope. The article is an attempt at an analysis of the newest Chinese “defense white paper” published by Beijing in 2011.
