The article presents the issues of motivating as an element of personnel management. Attention was paid to the essence and importance of human resources in enterprises. The definition of human resources wasintroduced, the importance and the way of managing them were defined. An analysis of the functioning of the incentive system was carried out on the example of a selected company and the incentive system in the company was presented.

W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia motywowania jako elementu zarządzania personelem. Zwrócono uwagę na istotę i znaczenie zasobów ludzkich w przedsiębiorstwach. Przybliżono definicję zasobów ludzkich, określono znaczenie oraz sposób zarządzania nimi. Przeprowadzono analizę funkcjonowania systemumotywacyjnego na przykładzie wybranego przedsiębiorstwa i przedstawiono system motywacyjny panujący w firmie.
