Islam i jego wyznawcy we Francji są w trudnym okresie adaptacji do francuskich i szerzej, europejskich – kulturowych społecznych, obyczajowych i politycznych – warunków bytowania. Celem niniejszego artytkułu jest ukazanie specyfiki tej społeczności na tle Francuzów etnicznych (europejskich), a także polityki władz francuskich wobec tej mniejszości Cel ten staramy się osiągnąć poprzez ukazanie stref osiedlania i warunki mieszkaniowe francuskich muzułmanów, związane z tym patologie społeczne, następnie poprzez przedstawienie struktury demograficznej oraz struktury zatrudnienia ludności muzułmańskiej, problemu jej tożsamości obywatelskiej, preferencji wyborczych i aktywności politycznej, a także ukazując stosunek rdzennych Francuzów do mniejszości islamskiej oraz charakteryzując politykę integracji i asymilacji władz w kontekście zachowania laickiego charakteru państwa francuskiego.

The purpose of this publication is to present selected socio-political issues related to the presence of Muslims in France and the specifics of the community of French ethnic background (European). To achieve this, the author analyzes the areas of settlement and housing French Muslims, the associated social pathologies, then presents the demographic structure and employment structure of the Muslim population, the problem of citizenship, electoral preferences and political activity, as well as against the minority Islamic natives. The final piece of the publication refers to the integration and assimilation policies pursued – often inconsistently – by the authorities against French Muslims, and in this context, the pursuit of that power to the Confidentiality of the constitutional principle of secularism of the French State.

This article muslim has been made an attempt to political science analysis of demographic aspect of the presence of muslims in France, and also tried to make a correlation analysis of demographic change of this community with respect to demographic trends in selected muslim countries. For the implementation of these objectives, the research, the author takes the difficult subject of determination of the number of muslims in France, the demographic structure of this community, a fertility rate of muslim women in this country, as well as the fertility rate of women in certain muslim countries. At the end the author indicates the cause of the decline in the fertility of muslim women in France and in some muslim countries.

Autor podzielił analizę problemu na trzy aspekty: aspekt prawny, aspekt polityczno-społeczny oraz aspekt polskiego uczestnictwa w tym kryzysie. Omawiając pierwszy z nich wskazał na niejednoznaczne interpretacje prawne dotyczące polityki azylowej w państwach unijnych. Druga część to charakteryzacja polityczno-społecznych aspektów kryzysu migracyjnego w Europie. Autor wskazał tu na kryteria, którymi kierowali się migranci, aplikując o azyl w danym kraju. Trzecią część artykułu autor poświęcił analizie miejsca Polski w kryzysie migracyjnym w Europie. Autor podkreślił w niej, iż Polska nie jest preferowanym celem migrantów z Bliskiego Wschodu, Afryki Północnej i innych państw muzułmańskich. Natomiast jest w coraz większym stopniu celem migracji zarobkowej z Europy Wschodniej, głównie z Ukrainy.

The author of the shared analysis of the problem on three dimensions: the legal dimension, the political-social dimension and the Polish participation in this crisis. Discussing the first of them pointed to the ambiguous legal interpretations concerning asylum policy in the EU countries. The second part is the characteristics of the social and political dimensions of the refugee crisis in Europe. The author shows here on the selection criteria by migrants of the country in which the request for asylum. In the third part of the article Author analyzes the place of Poland in the migration crisis in Europe. It concluded that Poland is not the preferred goal of migrants from the Middle East, North Africa and other Muslim States. But it is increasingly the aim of labor migration from Eastern Europe, mainly from the Ukraine.
