In this article, based on the principles of 'psychology of depth' by C. G. Jung, the authoress tries to explore the lyric drama by I. Franko 'The Withered Leaves'. The main attention is devoted to the research of the archetypal motives of the Shadow and Anima, which disclose the unconscious psychical aspects of the lyric subject's internal life.
