The article analyzes the structure of lexical meaning and the use of the tokens liberationand aggression in Ukrainian, Russian and German as markers of semantic opposition. Definitionsof explanatory dictionaries of the Ukrainian, Russian and German languages servedas material for the analysis. To illustrate the peculiarities of usage, the contexts of modernUkrainian, Russian and German media discourse are involved. The lexeme zv`ıl’nennˆa / osvo-boˇzdenie / Befreiung is polysemic in the analyzed languages. It was found that the lexemeagres`ıˆa / agressiˆa / Aggression is presented in Ukrainian, Russian and German languageswith different actualization of the seme and different seme composition. In the Ukrainianlanguage, the transformation from “unprovoked armed attack” to “forceful intervention”in the relations between two states is recorded; in the Russian language it is about “attack”and forceful actions against “foreigners; and in the German language a military attack onforeign territory is foreseen.

Artykuł analizuje strukturę znaczenia leksykalnego oraz użycie tokenów „wyzwolenie”i „agresja” w języku ukraińskim, rosyjskim i niemieckim jako znaczników semantycznej opozycji.Materiałem do analizy były definicje słowników objaśniających języka ukraińskiego,rosyjskiego i niemieckiego. Aby zilustrować specyfikę użycia, wykorzystano kontekstywspółczesnego ukraińskiego, rosyjskiego i niemieckiego dyskursu medialnego. Leksem звiль-нення/освобождение/Befreiung w analizowanych językach jest polisemiczny. Stwierdzono,że leksem агресiя/агрессия/Aggression występuje w językach ukraińskim, rosyjskimi niemieckimz różną aktualizacją semów i inną ich kompozycją. W języku ukraińskim odnotowuje sięprzejście od „niesprowokowanej napaści zbrojnej” do „siłowej interwencji” w stosunkachmiędzy dwoma państwami, w języku rosyjskim mówi się o „napaści” i siłowych działaniachprzeciwko „cudzoziemcom”, a w języku niemieckim przewiduje się atak militarny na obceterytorium.
