Police officers – as public officials – are constantly exposed to stress, which has a direct impact on their mental and physical health. Police officers are a professional group characterized by high levels of stress resulting from the duties entrusted to them and the applicable responsibility. Stress is an integral part of every person’s life. A police officer, as a person highly exposed to its effects, should have knowledge of stress, factors predisposing to its occurrence as well as methods of dealing with stress and its effects. They should have knowledge about behaviors that improve or maintain health and positive use of free time and creating their own personality.
