The article presents a contrastive discourse analysis of the concept of family in the statements of two politicians – Krzysztof Bosak (Poland) and Tino Chrupalla (Germany) – published on the social media platform X. The analysis is grounded in a multidisciplinary theoretical framework, combining discourse analysis, language ideologies, and the semantics of values. The empirical data (43 posts from 2020–2025) were classified into 12 ideologically significant discourse categories. The central assumption of the analysis is the observation that both politicians use the concept of family as an ideologically charged linguistic tool to express and reinforce a conservative worldview. The article also addresses issues of critical language awareness, advocating for the inclusion of such perspectives in philological education, where ideological content is rarely discussed. Ultimately, the author emphasizes the need to incorporate the analysis of socio political discourse into language education in order to foster the development of students’ indepth sociolinguistic and cultural competence.

Artykuł dotyczy kontrastywnej analizy dyskursywnej pojęcia rodziny w wypowiedziach polityków – Krzysztofa Bosaka (Polska) oraz Tino Chrupalli (Niemcy) – zamieszczonych na platformie społecznościowej X. Analiza opiera się na multidyscyplinarnym ujęciu teoretycznym, łączącym analizę dyskursu, ideologie językowe oraz semantykę wartości. Dane empiryczne (43 wpisy z lat 2020–2025) zostały zaklasyfikowane do 12 ideologicznie istotnych kategorii dyskursywnych. Centralnym założeniem analizy jest obserwacja, że obaj politycy wykorzystują pojęcie rodziny jako ideologicznie nacechowane narzędzie językowe służące wyrażaniu i umacnianiu konserwatywnego światopoglądu. Artykuł porusza też kwestie krytycznej świadomości językowej, postulując włączenie tego typu perspektyw do programów nauczania filologicznego, w których treści ideologiczne są rzadko podejmowane. Ostatecznie, autor podkreśla potrzebę włączenia analizy dyskursu społeczno-politycznego do edukacji językowej, by wspierać rozwój pogłębionej kompetencji socjolingwistycznej i kulturowej wśród studentów.
