The article focuses on the effects of the pandemic and the current economic crisis on the living conditions of Czech families with children. Its aim was to identify different groups of families according to the degree of application of austerity measures. As latent profile analysis shows more than two-fifths of families have not been yet greatly affected by recent economic changes. Another two fifths of families have adopted austerity measures. The most of them felt more significant effects of the energy crisis. Other families remain in economic trouble for a long time. The ability to respond to sudden crises is reduced especially by low income and indebtedness.
