The nature as a book is one of the most important motifs and interpretative tropus, which lets us describe the way of conceptualization in the Anna Kamieńska’s poetry. In her artistic work, the poetress has gone through rationalism - connected with communistic social-political doctrine - to the immanent metaphysic - represented by the belief of that there is a never-ending process of matter transforming in the Cosmos. The focal of her artistic search was the transcendental metaphysic - strongly and lightly connected with the Bible and Christian religion. In the last phase, Kamieňska’s work brought her even closer to mysticism. This hypothesis is strengthened by her commentaries in the Diary and theory of poetry formulated in essays. A wide analysis of her short piece Dawny list (Old letter), presented in the article, shows the very profound symbolic coherence and formal exactness (minimalism, open structure and purposefulness of each element) of her text, what in total reinforces the conclusion about the mystical character of her poetry.

The article examines the European Union-Turkey agreement on migrants in the aspect of its compliance with the principle of non-refoulement. The EU has come under fire from many international institutions for failure to respect this principle and to solve the problem of refugees by other measures, such as providing legal and safe routes to Europe or making greater efforts in favour of resettlement. While the agreement might reduce the number of refugees arriving in Greece, the controversial problem of organised smuggling groups remains and those are likely to diversify the routes used for illegal crossings to Europe both by land and by sea. As the agreement does not even mention an establishment of legal migration channels for refugees, dangerous crossings into EU territory are likely to continue.
