The western foothills of Veľká Fatra in the Turiec region of Northern Slovakia belonged to the densely populated areas in the La Tène and Early Roman Periods. In the cadastre of the village Mošovce, three complexes with five rampart fortifications and eight highland settlements have been identified over an area of approximately 8 km². Iron metallurgy was also recorded. According to the material analysis, the different parts of the agglomeration were not used at the same time, but alternately in different time periods from the late Hallstatt to the migration period. The three documented mass finds of coins provide new data on the depositional process of the hoards at the borderline between the Late Iron Age and the Early Roman Period.
