niemieckiego pisarza, urodzonego w 1934 roku w mazurskiej wiosce Groß Piwnitz (obecnie Piwnice Wielkie). Tę ‘małą ojczyznę’ jego rodzina musiała opuścić po zakończeniu drugiej wojny światowej. Pisarz mieszka obecnie w Schmallenbergu w Nadrenii Północnej-Westfalii. Mazury stały się motywem powracającym w wielu utworach, m.in. w Morgenlicht und wilde Schwäne. Ein Sommer in Masuren / Brzask i dzikie łabędzie. Lato na Mazurach, Als aus Janusz Jan wurde, Die Frau mit dem Bernsteinhaar / Kobieta o bursztynowych włosach, Masurische Gnadenhochzeit. Po notatce biograficznej podano zapis rozmowy z pisarzem, przeprowadzonej z okazji jego wizyty w Szczecinie w październiku 2007 roku.

The subject of the paper is the relation between the film Young Goethe in Love (2010), directed by Philipp Stölz, and the epistolary novel The Sorrows of Young Werther. The paper is centered on the plot of the film as an adaptation of the novel; yet, the author of the paper also points out some relevant incidents from the life of the writer, as well as makes remarks with respect to certain changes aiming at disambiguation or specification, which were introduced due to specific requirements of the audio-visual medium. Moreover, the author of the paper strives to reconstruct the image of Goethe as created by the film-makers.

The article is a presentation of the life story and literary output of Ilse Sarecka. Her ties with Pomerania have roots in her family tradition, personal and professional life. She is the author of numerous poems, stories and the novel “Verdrängtes” [Repressed]. The source of inspiration for her literary output are her own experiences as well as those of her relatives, history of the region and the surrounding nature. Her attention is centered on individual human beings and their life experiences against the background of history, on the so-called ‘small homeland’, the city of Szczecin, Pomeranian landscape, Polish-German relations. Being a person who knows Polish and German realities well, the author strives to act as an intermediary between the two nations and cultures in their rapprochement.

Artykuł jest omówieniem biografii i twórczości Ilse Sareckiej. Jej związki z Pomorzem wypływają z tradycji rodzinnej, życia osobistego i zawodowego. Jest ona autorką licznych wierszy i opowiadań oraz powieści "Verdrängtes". Inspiracją są dla niej doświadczenia własne i jej najbliższych, historia regionu, otaczająca ją przyroda. W centrum jej uwagi znajdują się człowiek i jego przeżycia na tle historii, tzw. mała ojczyzna, miasto Szczecin, pomorski krajobraz, stosunki polsko-niemieckie. Jako osoba dobrze znająca niemieckie i polskie realia autorka stara się pośredniczyć w zbliżeniu między oboma narodami i kulturami.
