How does the viewer receive the film? Why are some movies a more satisfying experience for the viewer than others? – these are questions of interest to film experts, psychologists and sociologists. This article presents a brief overview of the film reception research, with particular emphasis on immersion and emotions and social interactions experienced by the viewer during the show. Bodily aspect of film reception will also be indicated. Theoretical considerations have been illustrated by comparative studies of reception by viewers (N=325) of seven films having their cinema premieres in 2019. The relationship between immersion and experience of emotions and social interactions was confirmed, as was the satisfaction with watching the film. In addition, differences were found in the reception of individual works.

Jak widz odbiera film? Dlaczego niektóre filmy stanowią dla widza bardziej satysfakcjonujące doświadczenie niż inne? – to pytania interesujące zarówno filmoznawców, psychologów, jak i socjologów. W niniejszym artykule zaprezentowany został krótki przegląd badań odbioru filmu, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem immersji oraz doświadczanych przez widza w trakcie pokazu emocji i interakcji społecznych ze wskazaniem ich cielesnych aspektów. Rozważania teoretyczne zostały zilustrowane badaniami porównawczymi odbioru przez widzów (N=325) siedmiu filmów mających swoje premiery kinowe w 2019 roku. Potwierdzono zależność pomiędzy zanurzeniem oraz doświadczeniem emocji i interakcji społecznych a satysfakcją z oglądania filmu. Ponadto wykazano różnice w recepcji poszczególnych dzieł.

Rozwój emocjonalny replikantów został poddany analizie z uwzględnieniem uwarunkowań społecznych ipiętna związanego z funkcjonowaniem w ultrakapitalistycznej dystopii. Niniejszy artykuł zawiera propozycję praktycznego wykorzystania filmu iwiedzy psychologicznej do przeprowadzenia warsztatów z zakresu regulacji emocjonalnej, przygotowanych w oparciu o ideę psychologicznej pracy z filmem.

The article addresses issues surrounding emotion regulation inthe cult film Blade Runner. The emotional development of the replicants isanalyzed regarding social conditions and the stigma associated with functioning in an ultra- c apitalist dystopia. This article includes aproposal for practical use ofthe film and psychological knowledge toconduct emotional regulation workshops based on the concept ofpsychological work with film.
