W artykule podjęto próbę identyfikacji czynników mających istotny wpływ na jakość informacji odszukanych w wyszukiwarce Google. Wzięto pod uwagę algorytmy, zaproponowaną architekturę listy odpowiedzi, politykę koncernu oraz faktyczne zachowania użytkowników wykorzystujących to narzędzie. Wskazano istotne dla jakości informacji czynniki, a także niedostatki – tak po stronie narzędzia, korporacji, jak i użytkowników wyszukiwarki.

The paper aims to identify factors that have a significant impact on the quality of the information search process in the Google global search engine. Several factors were considered, e.g. the impact of algorithms, the results page architecture, the Google company policies and the actual behaviour of the Google search engine users. Significant factors and some shortcomings in terms of information quality were identified, both on the tool’s and corporation’s side and the users’ side.

Presentation of a book dedicated to the analysis of the information that underlies almost all daily activities, decisions and planning. Today’s world is full of information that reaches people through the media, the means of electronic communication and professional or private reading. The analysis is a method and a tool that allows to deal with a complex and challenging reality.
