W artykule opisano cele, metody polityki zagranicznej prowadzonej przez prezydenta USA Johna Fitzgeralda Kennedy’ego wobec Wietnamu. Artykuł zawiera analizę użycia sił specjalnych jako instrumentu polityki zagranicznej w latach 1961–1963. W tej analizie zawarte są: opis osobistego zaangażowania prezydenta Kennedy’ego w sprawy sił specjalnych, zasady działań wietnamskiej komunistycznej partyzantki oraz najskuteczniejsze sposoby zwalczania partyzantów.

In this article describes the targets, methods of foreign policy pursued by U.S. President John Fitzgerald Kennedy to Vietnam. The article includes an analysis of the use of United States Special Operations Forces (U.S SOF) as an instrument of U.S. foreign policy in the years 1961–1963. In this analysis, there is a description of personal involvement President Kennedy in the case of U.S. SOF, the principle of action Vietnamese communist guerrillas and the most effective ways to combat the guerrillas.
