It focuses primarily on the theoretical part of the monograph, analyzing the empirical part to a lesser extent. The article situates Tomczok's book in the area of social history of literature. W kierunku społecznej historii literatury. Recenzja monografii Pawła Tomczoka pt. Literacki kapitalizm. Obrazy abstrakcji ekonomicznych w literaturze polskiej drugiej połowy XIX wieku. Katowice: Wydawnictwo UŚ Artykuł jest krytycznym esejem recenzyjnym książki Pawła Tomczoka Literacki kapitalizm. Obrazy abstrakcji ekonomicznych w literaturze polskiej drugiej połowy XIX wieku. Skupia się przede wszystkim na części teoretycznej monografii, w mniejszym stopniu analizuje zaś część empiryczną. Artykuł umiejscawia książkę Tomczoka w obszarze społecznej historii literatury.

This article aims to present the key post-Soviet generational conflict in the Russian literary field, which has significantly influenced the present shape of the field. The most important mechanisms and stages of the discussed generational change, its institutional background and the most important actors of these processes will be highlighted. For the purpose of the text, manifestos, critical essays, interviews, polemics and other forms of expression on (around) literary issues published in literary magazines such as “Novy mir”, “Kontinent”, “Oktyabr”, “Znamya”, “Voprosy literatury”, “Ural”, “Literaturnaya gazeta”, “Literaturnaya Rossiya”, “NG Ex Libris” and the daily press, which is not profiled in literary terms. The basis of the research is the perspective of the social history of literature, based on two important theoretical approaches to the relationship between literature and social reality: the concept of the sociology of the literary field by Pierre Bourdieu and the concept of aesthetics as politics by Jacques Rancière.

The paper is an introduction to the problems of the contemporary works of a Russian writer Roman Senchin (born 1971). The author is considered to be a representative of the new realism current and his prose is a paradigmatic example of socially-oriented literature. Due to the sociological perspective, the article exposes social and political aspects of his work, but less attention has been paid to poetics as such. However, the psychological and existential aspect of Senchin’s work was also stressed. Furthermore, an attempt was made to resolve the dilemma, whether in relation to Senchin’s works it is relevant to use such theoretical concepts as politics of literature and politics in the literature.

В ней анализируется как институциональное измерение - то есть место явления в современном русском литературном поле - так и идеологическое измерение, в котором важнейшей целью поэток-феминисток было создание эмансипированно активно лирической и политической субъектки. Теоретическая перспектива, которая лежит в основе размышлений в статье, выросла из вдохновения исследовательским манифестом Риты Фельски Литература в использовании и перспективой политики литературы Жака Рансьера.

Artykuł dotyczy działalności i twórczości rosyjskiego feministyczno-poetyckiego kolektywu F-Pis’mo (2017−2021). Analizie poddany został zarówno wymiar instytucjonalny - a więc środowiskowe usytuowanie zjawiska w ramach współczesnego rosyjskiego pola literackiego, jak i ideowy - w którym najważniejszym celem poetek-feministek było wykreowanie wyemancypowanej aktywnej podmiotki liryczno-politycznej. Perspektywa teoretyczna stanowiąca bazę namysłu w artykule wyrasta z inspiracji manifestem badawczym Rity Felski Literatura w użyciu oraz perspektywą polityki literatury Jacquesa Ranciere’a.

The article deals with the activities and work of the Russian feminist-poetry collective F-Letter (2017−2021). It analyses both the institutional dimension - that is, the milieu location of the phenomenon within the contemporary Russian literary field - and the ideological dimension - in which the most important goal of the feminist poets was to create an emancipated active lyrical-political subject. The theoretical perspective that constitutes the basis of reflection in the article grows out of the inspiration of Rita Felski’s research manifesto Uses of Literature and Jacques Ranciere’s perspective on the politics of literature.

Problematyzuje pojęcia hierarchii i granic oraz ich rolę w struktury zowaniu rzeczywistości społecznej (pół)peryferyjnej Europy Wschodniej. Tekst omawia, z jednej strony, kwestię aktualności i przydatności tychże pojęć, a z drugiej możliwość krytycznego podejścia do nich. Artykuł oferuje także przegląd najważniejszych myśli i koncepcji zaproponowanych przez autorów artykułów opublikowanych w numerze.

The Empire Strikes Back. Russian National Cinema After 2005The paper provides critical analysis of the latest wave of Russian national cinema (2005-2013), considered one of key instruments of Vladimir Putin’s nation-building cultural policy. The analysis, focused mostly on historical film and war film, reveals the concept of an ‘imperial nation’ as the main concept underlying this policy. The new Russian nation-concept is calculated to binding elements from two former Russian imperial traditions: tradition of the Russian Empire and the Soviet tradition, thus trying to overcome the identity crisis in contemporary Russia. Imperium kontratakuje. Rosyjskie kino narodowe po 2005 rokuArtykuł zajmuje się krytyczną analizą filmów najnowszej fali rosyjskiego kina narodowego (2005-2013), uważanej tu za jedno z kluczowych narzędzi polityki kulturalnej Władimira Putina obliczonej na budowanie narodu. Autorzy artykułu skupiają się przede wszystkim na filmie historycznym i wojennym, odsłaniając pojęcie „imperialnego narodu” jako konceptu stojącego u podstaw oficjalnej polityki. Nowe rosyjskie pojęcie narodu łączy w sobie dwie tradycje rosyjskie: tradycję Imperium Rosyjskiego oraz tradycję Związku Radzieckiego, próbując w ten sposób przezwyciężyć kryzys tożsamościowy współczesnej Rosji.
