Pozostałości Nadawczej Radiostacji Transatlantyckiej : problemy konserwatorskie, potencjał edukacyjny i turystyczny

Wzniesienie Nadawczej Radiostacji Transatlantyckiej było największą inwestycją radiokomunikacyjną w historii II Rzeczypospolitej. Instalacja ta miała olbrzymi zasięg, zastosowano w niej najnowocześniejsze rozwiązania. Jej teren stał się areną krwawych walk w czasie obrony Warszawy we wrześniu 1939 roku. Na początku roku 1945 Nadawcza Radiostacja Transatlantycka została całkowicie zniszczona. Do chwili obecnej zachowało się niewiele materialnych pozostałości, głównie fundamenty dziesięciu masztów antenowych, 3 wartownie i ruiny budynku nadajnika. Były one przez lata zapomniane i wystawione na działanie wielu czynników destrukcyjnych. Artykuł zawiera uzasadnienie konieczności podjęcia prac konserwatorskich oraz konkretne propozycje zagospodarowania dawnego terenu i pozostałości tego unikatowego obiektu.

The Transatlantic Broadcasting Radiostation was the biggest radiocommunication investment in the mid-war Poland. The radiostation had great range of broadcast and the most innovative solutions were used in it. During the German siege of Warsaw in September 1939, terrain of Transatlantic Broadcasting Radiostation was defended by Polish soldiers. At the beginning of 1945 Transatlantic Broadcasting Radiostation was completely destroyed. Only a few material remains of it had survived till the present times: foundations of the ten antenna masts, three watchmen posts and ruins of the broadcasting building. They were forgotten for years and exposed to many destructive influences. The paper shows the necessity of conservation works and proposals for revitalising of the terrain and of the remains of this unique structure.
