Zaobserwowany w ostatnich latach wzrost zainteresowania zagadnieniami duchowości/ religijności obejmuje także problematykę związków religijności/duchowości ze zdrowiem. W artykule podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytania: jakie znaczenie ma religia/ duchowość dla zdrowia i w chorobie? Czy duchowość można uznawać za jeden z wymiarów zdrowia? Z analizy piśmiennictwa wynika, że istnieje wiele czynników wyjaśniających wpływ religijności i duchowości na zdrowie fizyczne, psychiczne i społeczne. Rozszerzenie wymiarów zdrowia o zdrowie i dobrostan duchowy wymaga dalszych, powtarzalnych badań z obszaru epidemiologii analitycznej, na dużych, międzywyznaniowych i międzykulturowych próbach, uwzględniających kryterium społeczne, kulturowe i środowiskowe.

The increase in interest in spiritual / religious issues observed in recent years also includes issues of religious / spirituality and health. The article attempts to answer the questions: What is the importance of religion / spirituality for health and illness? Can spirituality be considered one of the dimensions of health? Literature analysis shows that there are many factors that explain the influence of religiosity and spirituality on physical, mental and social health. The expansion of health dimensions for health and spiritual well-being requires further, repeated studies in the field of analytical epidemiology, on large, inter-faith and intercultural trials, taking into account social, cultural and environmental criteria.

Demographic changes point to the need to pay attention to the characteristics, needs and opportunities of people at old age. The article presents changes in verbal communication taking place as a result of physiological aging. It is written the transformation of speech due to changes in the structural and functional characteristics of this stage of life. It is also described a transformation in the field of programming language, using a dictionary specific phenomena of communication: OTV (Off Target Verbosity) and TOT (Tip-of-the Tongue) and attention is paid to intergenerational communication.

Communication between people plays an important role in everyday life for people of all ages. The article presents the specificity of senior citizens communication skills and describes the changes in speech perception and in terms of speech planning, using vocabulary, specific communication phenomena: OTV (Off Target Verbosity) and TOT (Tip-of-the Tongue). The article also discusses the role of music in the lives of senior citizens, especially in preserving and improving cognitive and physical activity, which is the basis for proper communication.
