Prognozuje się, iż do roku 2020 liczba ludzi z dostępem do sieci Internet wzrośnie z obecnych 2,4 miliarda do około 5 miliardów. Tendencja ta implikuje coraz swobodniejszą możliwość stosowania różnorodnych instrumentów (opartych na technologiach ICT) aktywizujących lokalne społeczności, co przejawia się w szerokiej gamie zastosowań koncepcji zwanej crowdsourcingiem. Jednym z wymiarów tego procesu jest obecność projektów crowdsourcingowych w tematyce europejskiej (Collective Awareness Platforms for Sustainability and Social Innovation – CAPS) potwierdzająca zainteresowanie różnych służb i instytucji tą formą interakcji ze społecznością jako całością. W artykule dokonano przeglądu i charakterystyki platform crowdsourcingowych, w których społeczne zaangażowanie przekłada się na szeroko rozumianą poprawę jakości życia uzyskaną poprzez wsparcie dialogu społecznego i procesów decyzyjnych. Celem rozważań jest analiza wyselekcjonowanych platform crowdsourcingowych, ze szczególnym wskazaniem ich roli, funkcjonalności i możliwości kształtowania procesów partycypacyjnych. Artykuł ma charakter koncepcyjny.

It is forecasted that till the year 2020 the number of people with the access to the Internet will grow from the present 2.4 billion to some 5 billion. This trend implies the more and more free possibility to apply various instruments (based on ICT technologies) activating local communities, what manifests itself in a wide range of applications of the concept called crowdsourcing. One of the dimensions of this process is the presence of crowdsourcing projects in the European topics (Collective Awareness Platforms for Sustainability and Social Innovation, CAPS) confirming the interest of various services and institutions in this form of interaction with the society as a whole. In her article, the author reviewed and characterised the crowdsourcing platforms where the social commitment translates into the improvement in a broad sense of the quality of life achieved by way of support of the social dialogue and decision-making processes. An aim of considerations is to analyse the selected crowdsourcing platforms, with a particular indication of their role, functionality and opportunities to shape the participative processes. The article is of the conceptual nature.
