The main purpose of this paper is to show the relation between the situation in Poland after 1989 and the Canadian experience. The paper demonstrates the diagnosis of the situation of the Church proposed by Jozef Tischner and the formula of secularisation put forward a few years later by Charles Taylor. The text addresses the question to what extent Taylor’s diagnosis indicates a change that takes place in modern society (including the Church) and whether Tischner’s formula was rejected by Polish society or, on the contrary, whether it foreshadowed the emancipation of modern man from the Church.

Artykuł jest jedną z prób odczytania mini serialu „Anioły w Ameryce” z 2003 roku, wyreżyserowanego na podstawie sztuki Tony’ego Kushnera przez Mike’a Nicholsa. Autorka skupia się na analizie zawartego w filmie amerykańskiego mitu, który w latach 80. XX wieku ulega metamorfozie – degradacji ulega figura WASP, amerykański sen o wspólnocie oraz religii jako jej fundamencie. Ten utopijny projekt zostaje zastąpiony koniecznością poszukiwania nowej tożsamości przez tych, którzy nie mieszczą się dotychczasowych konturach amerykańskiego etosu, a szerzej – kultury Zachodu – homoseksualiści, chorzy na AIDS, reprezentanci mniejszości, którzy przestają żyć w dawnym półmroku i kryjówkach. Prezentowany tekst jest propozycją analizy zaprezentowanego w filmie kryzysu, niedyspozycji, którego choroba pozostaje emblematem, natomiast tytułowe anioły jego remedium.

One of many attempts at deciphering the miniseries Angels in America (2003), directed by Mike Nichols and based on a play by Tony Kushner. The author of the article concentrated on analysing the American myth contained in the cable-film, a myth that in the 1980s underwent a metamorphosis involving a degradation of the WASP stereotype, the American dream of a community, and religion conceived as the latter’s foundation. This utopian project was replaced by the necessity of seeking new identity by those why no longer fit the existing contours of American ethics, and, more widely, that of Western culture – homosexuals, victims of AIDS, and representatives of minorities who ceased living in the semi-darkness and hiding places of the past. The presented text proposes an analysis of the depicted crisis and a condition, whose emblem continues to be illness, with the titular angels as the remedy.

Przedmiotem opracowania jest obecny stan prawny w zakresie zbiegu ubezpieczeń społecznych z uwzględnieniem kumulacji i rozłączności poszczególnych tytułów ubezpieczenia emerytalnego i rentowych. Autorzy podejmują także próbę wskazania optymalnego kierunku przyszłych zmian i budowy nowego modelu kumulacji tytułów ubezpieczenia społecznego. Przeprowadzona analiza pozostaje w ścisłej korelacji z koniecznością rozszerzenia zakresu podmiotowego ubezpieczenia społecznego oraz dążeniem do uproszczenia systemu i ujednolicenia zasad podlegania ubezpieczeniu emerytalnemu i rentowym. Ocena przydatności stosowania zbiegu tytułów ubezpieczenia społecznego oraz zaproponowana koncepcja modelu kumulacji tytułów uwzględnia potrzebę zwiększenia poziomu przychodów FUS oraz prognozy źródeł finansowania przyszłych świadczeń.

The subject of the study is the current legal status seen within the scope of the coming together of social insurance pensions, taking into account the accumulation and dislocation of particular pension insurance types. The authors also attempt to identify the optimal direction for future changes and to build a new model of social insurance title accumulation. The analysis is closely correlated with the need to broaden the scope of social insurance and to simplify the scheme and to harmonize the rules governing pension insurance schemes. The assessment of the suitability of the overlap in social insurance title applications and the proposed concept of a model of title accumulation, takes into account the need to increase the level of revenues of the Social Insurance Fund and the forecasts for future benefit source financing.
