The process of globalization makes it necessary to harmonize the regulations in various fields of economy, culture and education, including changes in the system of driver education. This paper presents the changes in Polish traffic law in the process of its adaptation to the international requirements and changes in driver training process in terms of improving road safety. It also identifies the areas of training that are undergoing the process of changes in conditions of globalization with emphasis on the role of instructor in the continuing education of drivers and improvement in their knowledge and skills.

The article presents the examples of ethical attitudes in the actions and the enterprisingattitudes in the field of road safety.Ethical attitudes in business were discussed in reference to the example of education systemof traffic safety. As the illustration of ethical attitudes in the education actions of WojewódzkiOrodek Ruchu Drogowego and the private centers and association of drivers training werediscussed.The chosen questions of ethics in construction trade and motorway services also werementioned. In the article, the chosen indicators of road accidents in Poland and in EuropeanUnion in years 20052006 and firs half on 2007, were presented and compared.

The article discusses the process of transforming driving instruction in terms of European integration as a basic factor of transport.It indicates the areas of driving instruction to be subjected to the process of transformation and their impact on the improvement of road safety, along with discussing the changes in selected areas of driving instruction, while pointing out fundamental differences between the legal requirements of Poland and selected European Union countries.It further discusses the differences in the basic training of drivers within the European Union and indicates the need for entrepreneurial activities in order to facilitate improvement in road safety.Also highlighted is the need to remove any differences in traffic regulations and in all other areas of driving instruction.

The article presents examples of activities and enterprising attitudes researched by the author in the field of the enterprise in the improvement of the road safety. There are also presented the examples of enterprising activities of many institutions interested in this matter - from government-institutions, including the Department of the National Education, the Department of Transport and Building, the National Council of Traffic Safety, provincial Centres of Road Traffic, the Police and schools, to the over government institutions like European Parliament and Council and private driving schools. The author presents the system of education about traffic safety - puts emphasis on activities of the driving schools - as an example of enterprising activities. The article gives examples of protecting pedestrians in road accidents. The article compares also the chosen indicators concerning traffic accidents in Poland and in chosen countries of the European Union in years 2000-2004.

The article presents the results of studies related to children and adolescents’ awareness of the road dangers and their conscious and safe participation in the road traffic. Additionally it indicates stages of education, which should undergo changes resulting in the safety improvement on the Polish roads. The conclusions of the study are compared with the intentions of the National Road Safety Programme Gambit 2005 in the field of education referring to the road safety and the conclusions of the analysis of safety on Polish roads. The article discusses the erroneous actions of adults towards children entailing failures in traffic laws observance by children and adolescents.

The article discusses the role of enterprise and Information technology in the trainingcandidates for driving instructors.The necessary of using the Information technology during the training was pointed out.Also, the influence of Information Technologies on the basic teaching methods, like principleof visual method and connections between theories and practice, was quoted.It underlines the role of instructor in process of new drivers’ education. The necessity ofcreation a new teaching model was pointed out. The article also emphasizes the importance of enterprise and information technology in theself-training for candidates for drivers and instructors; it also shows the drivers and instructorsas representatives of information society.
