The article is an attempt to grasp the structure of an act of religious faith, a primary act in which the subject recognizes the presence of the holy mystery. The act of religious faith supports a secondary act of recognizing something as the revealed truth of the Divine. This truth is announced by the Teaching Authority of the Church, and accepted by virtue of authority. The paper attempts a determination of the primary religious act and confronts it with existential proposition

Artykuł stanowi pewną próbę przeniknięcia tajemniczej struktury aktu wiary religijnej, aktu prymarnego, w którym podmiot rozpoznaje i uznaje obecność działającej Tajemnicy, który w wydatnym stopniu wspiera akt (akt sekundarny) uznania czegoś za prawdę objawioną przez Boga, a głoszoną (podawaną do wiary) przez Nauczycielski Urząd Kościoła, czyli przyjmowaną na mocy autorytetu. W tym celu podjęto próbę dookreślenia owego prymarnego aktu wiary i skonfrontowania go z sądem egzystencjalnym.
