The article is part of a research report on the religiousness of junior high school and high school students in rural environments. The text presents the theoretical basis of the undertaken research. The article then proceeds to explain some terms, views of various authors as well as the popular images of the life of young people from rural and urban areas. The summary provides a reflection on the participation of young people in parish festivals.

Artykuł jest częścią raportu z badań nad religijnością młodzieży gimnazjalnej i licealnej. Tekst przedstawia podstawy teoretyczne podjętych badań. Prezentowane są podstawowe terminy, poglądy różnych autorów, życie młodzieży w środowisku wiejskim, jego porównanie do życia młodzieży miejskiej oraz wybrane badania nad religijnością młodzieży. W podsumowaniu znajduje się refleksja dotycząca udziału młodzieży w świętach parafialnych.
