Czynnikami środowiskowymi, które sprzyjają lokalizacji firm zajmujących się recyklingiem w naszym kraju są ilości wytworzonych i selektywnie zgromadzonych odpadów oraz koszty ich zbierania i transportu. Ważne są również kwestie dotyczące świadomości ekologicznej oraz ekonomiczne determinanty funkcjonowania w danej rzeczywistości. W Polsce recykling tworzyw sztucznych skoncentrowany jest w głównej mierze w dwóch obszarach – województwach mazowieckim i śląskim.

Environmental factors that favour the location of recycling companies in our country, are the quantities of produced and selectively collected waste and the cost of collection and transportation. There are also important issues concerning environmental awareness and economic determinants of functioning in a given reality. In Poland, the recycling of plastics is concentrated mainly in two areas - Mazovia and Silesia.
