The theme of the article is a synthetic analysis of the art market in terms of its potential for use by financial institutions to expand the deposit offer. The art market has a high specificity and until recently was reserved only for the most affluent customers. The availability of alternative forms of savings multiply were determined by the financial crisis. The author presents the characteristics of the art market, as well as relations that affect the price of products. The added value in the analysis relate to the use of the financial sector investment instruments to individual customers on the Polish market.
