The study summarises the author’s systematic research into the translation of the works of the Bulgarian elder John (13th–14th century), his companions and followers from the Mount Athos. The author’s translations are transferred to Slavonic Orthodox Triodes, the Octoechos (the Book of Eight Tones), Psalters, Canons etc., in their manuscripts and old printed editions after comparison with Greek extracts and with the Old-Church-Slavonic.
