The main objective of this paper is to attempt to evaluate the selected financial ratios as a tool to assess the financial condition. The source material for the analyzes are empirical data contained in the financial statements of the company Inżyniweria Rzeszow S.A for 2011–2015. Financial reporting is useful because the company not only to the proper interpretation of numbers but above all to make better use of resources, improve performance, meet market needs and expectations of the owners. Thus it aims to facilitate the decision, which will ensure the effective development of the company in the future. It is important to emphasize the fact that the modern world is constantly changing, which are dynamic caused by the influence of the processes. These processes are; social, economic, political and cultural characteristics of each of which is subjected to the process of globalization treated primarily as a phenomenon or state of the global economy. The development of the market economy and globalization increases the demand of enterprises for economic information. In the modern economy, information is regarded as one of the important resources of the organization and is the subject of management. This information flow from the analyzes assess the financial condition and significantly determine investment decisions and financial.

A regional development is activating the sector of small and medium enterprises and local and is developing new initiatives supporting relieving the unemployment in the total economy and individual regions. In the market economy whereas formed this sector is performing the complementary function towards large firms and the public sector as well as constitutes the back cooperative and assisting functioning of large corporations. The subject of this study is the analysis of the influence the global crisis has on entrepreneurship in Poland, and identification of activities undertaken to fade away it’s results, both on the national and EU level. Background of this analysis consists of a judgment of the influence the globalization process has on the conditions of activity and development of enterprises, mainly those from the SME sector. The results from the research indicate the low position of our country in the field of innovativeness, and a decrease of financial results has an effect on the change of the investment strategy, in the direction of reducing innovations. However, despite the worsening of the economic conditions, the number of newly established enterprises showed increasing tendencies. The most subjects were created in the group of small enterprises, employing from 10 to 49 people. This confirms the thesis, that during the crisis the SME sector, with creation of conditions which supported activity, effectively contributed to the social – economic development
