A new method of graphic presentation of competence profiles is discussed in the article. Competence profiles are defined as a field of a geometric figure, not as a contour of the figure (like in the G. Filipowicz's concept). The new method enables mapping a desirable (minimum and optimum) level of required competences for all posts in an organization. Moreover the method allows to map a real level of required competences for a worker or a candidate.

The article presents the results of research on a number of staff in controlling teams, range of responsibility and decision-making delegations given to controllers, as well as the factors influencing the ways of joining the controllers into organizational structure in studied organizations.

The results of research concerning identification of the responsibility centres in big organizations functioning in the Lower Silesia region are presented in the article. The results of research relate in particular to kinds of responsibility centres, criteria of their identification, covering of the organizational structure by these centres, as well as the factors influencing the method of responsibility centres identification in studied organizations.
