Already in the first issue of „The Voice of Law” we announced a series of columns entitled „Votum Separatum”. We are only starting to publish them now. We were assured by the author that the columns/essays will concern the broadly understood administration of justice, including the judiciary. What they will have in common is that they will be referring to historical and comparative sources. They will also take a critical look of the present. The first column features the relationship between the appointment of the judges and their impartiality. It seems that the essay provokes further reflections and opens the field to a discussion, to which we invite all readers, given that the discussed subject is very topical not only in Poland and Europe, but also globally.

Już w pierwszym zeszycie „Głosu Prawa” zapowiedzieliśmy cykl felietonów pod tytułem „Votum Separatum”. Zaczynamy je publikować dopiero teraz. Autor zapewnił nas, że felietony/eseje będą dotyczyły szeroko rozumianego wymiaru sprawiedliwości, w tym sądownictwa, a wspólną ich cechą będzie też sięganie do źródeł historycznych i porównawczych oraz krytyczne spojrzenie na współczesność. Na początek temat relacji powoływania sędziów do niezawisłości sędziowskiej. Jak się wydaje, esej prowokuje do refleksji i otwiera pole do merytorycznej dyskusji, do której zapraszamy, tym bardziej, że poruszona tematyka jest bardzo aktualna nie tylko w Polsce i w Europie, ale też globalnie.
