In today's Hungary, the national health service system is attracting more and more criticism. In this context, it is increasingly important that health workers were provided with valuable, up-to-date medical and health-related information. It is the task of medical libraries, including hospital libraries to provide such information. The budget for library acquisitions is usually the narrowest item within a hospital budget, yet sers' (medical practitioners') information needs have to be satisfied. This is why the importance of interlibrary loan has to be re-emphasized. The article summarises the related experiences of a county hospital library.
