By proposing a new branch of epistemology under the name of epistheology, this author outlines a version of theory of knowledge in which arguments and justifications of fundamental claims are theological in nature. He focuses his inquiries on the character of cognitive processes, on the object of cognition and the problem of the existence of the external world. His analyses refer to the works of classical representatives of epistemology, such as Descartes, Malebranche and Spinoza. He presents them in a new light.
