Ostre zapalenie wyrostka robaczkowego jest jednym z najczęściej pojawiających się schorzeń układu pokarmowego. Leczenie chirurgiczne wyrostka robaczkowego może odbywać się w sposób klasyczny bądź też laparoskopowo. Aby przygotować pacjenta do operacji, konieczna jest fachowa wiedza, a także umiejętności pielęgniarskie. Celem tej pracy jest przybliżenie leczenia oraz roli pielęgniarki podczas opieki nad osobami z ostrym zapaleniem wyrostka robaczkowego.

Acute appendicitis is one of the most frequent diseases of the digestive system. Surgical treatment of appendicitis can be done in a classic or a laparoscopy. To prepare the patient for surgery is needed expertise and skills of nursing. The purpose of this paper is to present treatment and the role of nurses in the care of persons with acute appendicitis.
