The article provides an outline of the retroconversion efforts in the State Archive in Szczecin over the course of more than a dozen years. In the early 1990s, the Archive acquired its first computers. In the late 20th century, the Szczecin Archive began to utilise electronic databases, and 2016 saw the implementation of an integrated archival information system. Retroconverting paper finding aids into an electronic form is frequently laborious and demanding. This is definitive proof that the work we perform today is a continuation of generations of archival efforts.
