Artykuł ukazuje najbardziej charakterystyczne elementy nauczania Jana Pawła II na temat dogmatu Bożego macierzyństwa Maryi. Stanowi syntetyczną analizę opartą na homiliach i przemówieniach wygłoszonych przez Papieża podczas pielgrzymek do Ojczyzny. Mariologia papieska zawarta w katechezie narodowej stanowi nowe ujęcie mariologii tradycyjnej, opartej na nauczaniu Kościoła, a w szczególności pierwszego dogmatu maryjnego ogłoszonego na Soborze Efeskim w 431 roku. Papież swoje nauczanie, uwzględniające różne kierunki mariologii współczesnej, opiera przede wszystkim na osiągnięciach Soboru Watykańskiego II, a więc VIII rozdziału Konstytucji dogmatycznej o Kościele oraz adhortacji apostolskiej Marialis cultus Pawła VI. Również wydana przez Jana Pawła II encyklika Redemptoris Mater poświęcona Błogosławionej Maryi Dziewicy ma swoje odbicie w papieskiej katechezie narodowej. Z przemówień i homilii Papieża wygłoszonych podczas jego pielgrzymek do Ojczyzny, zawierających bogactwo treści maryjnych i mariologicznych, wynika, że Jan Paweł II konsekwentnie wskazywał nam na Maryję jako matkę Boga.

The article shows the most characteristic elements of the teaching of John Paul II on the dogma of the divine motherhood of Mary. It represents a synthetic analysis, based on the homilies and speeches delivered by the Pope during a pilgrimage to his homeland. The Pope’s Mariology, concluded in the national catechesis, represents a new approach of traditional Mariology, based on the teachings of the Church, and in particular the first Marian dogma announced at the Council of Ephesus in 431. Pope bases his teaching primarily on the achievements of Second Vatican Ecumenical Council Vatican II, in the form of Chapter VIII of the Dogmatic Constitution of the Church and the Apostolic Exhortation Marialis Cultus of Paul VI, while taking into account the different directions of contemporary Mariology. Also released by Pope John Paul II's encyclical Redemptoris Mater, dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, is reflected in the papal national catechesis. From the Pope's speeches and homilies delivered during his pilgrimage to Poland, containing a wealth of Marian and Mariological content, John Paul II has consistently pointed us to Mary as the mother of God.
