Artykuł zawiera informacje na temat systemów sterowania i zarządzania ruchem statków i barek. Do głównych zadań tych systemów można zaliczyć poprawianie bezpieczeństwa jednostek pływających i optymalizację ich ruchu po wodach całego świata. Umożliwiają one śledzenie statków,prawidłową organizację pracy w portach, polepszenie czasu reakcji akcji ratunkowych. Pomagają one również w wykrywaniu sprawców zanieczyszczeń, które negatywnie oddziałują na środowisko morskie.

The article contains information on vessel and barge traffic control and management systems. The main tasks of these systems include improving the safety of vessels and optimization their movement in waters around the world. They enable the tracking of ships, proper organization of work in ports, improvement of rescue response time. They also help to detect the perpetrators of pollution that has a negative impact on the marine environment.
